Young migrants changing the face of China's cities

More and more of China's young rural population is migrating to the cities. Whereas in years previous, these migrant workers had merely come to find jobs to earn money and then return home, these new immigrants show no signs of this, with a survey showing that 56% of migrants under the age of 30 had plans to buy a house in the city in which they worked. With China's cities already facing overcrowding, estimates suggest that China's population will be primarily urban by 2015.

  1. I find it hard to believe that China will be a mostly urban society in four years. China is still mostly agrarian society and i think it will stay that way, at least until China is able to surpass all the other countries in the world economically.
