Jasmine Revolution in China

Many people are being threatened by the Chinese government as talks about a possible “Jasmine Revolution” in China increases. Jasmine Revolutions, which are pro-democratic protests for changes in the government, have actually been going on in several Middle Eastern countries as well, and the governments experiencing such revolutions are undertaking somewhat drastic measures. Journalists, activists, lawyers have had their visas detained; they have been arrested, beaten, and placed under house arrest. Any content on the internet pertaining to the ongoing “Jasmine Revolution” in China has is being censored by the government. Just another example of how the Chinese government is so desperate to hold onto their power.
