This article from the People' Daily newspaper is, interestingly, about Emma Watson, the girl who plays Hermione in Harry Potter. In fact, if you go to the homepage, then click on 'Life & Culture,' her face is front-and-center on the page. This is quite hilarious for me, so I have dubbed it 'Westernalism,' the opposite of Orientalism. This small instance is very telling in that it shows the power and reach of Western influence on the East.
