Um, about democracy…

China’s second in command, Wu Bangguo, announced to China’s National People’s Congress that the Chinese government will have nothing to do with democracy. Apparently, there will be extreme consequences if they convert to a democratic system. Previous advances in the economy will become obsolete, and China will succumb to chaos. But last year, Chinese Premier Wen Jiaobao said otherwise: “China could possible introduce democratic reforms.” He said that reforms were needed to make sure that the people had power. As we can see, however, China is still under Communist power, and what they say is the law.
