Sound familiar? More and more people are using the blog as a way to communicate and share educational ideas. The China Education Resources' blog site is fast expanding and has already created educational tools and curricula for China’s kindergarten through twelfth grade system. They hope to change the current education system from the current memory-based system to a more creative thinking and interactive approach.
This blog is meant to be a space for the Austin College community to discuss issues related to China and the Chinese language. This transition should be a most fascinating one, considering how the current education system is raw memorization and repetition rather than adaptation. Most agree that the current system creates specialists, whereas the entire goal of our liberal arts universities is to diversify a person. Seeing China's shift to this more interactive and creative approach should spawn many interesting changes.
